my mom tells the story of how my great grandparents’ house had once been owned by this couple, both very old and sick. the husband, afraid of being unable to care for his wife should anything happen, took her down to the basement where he turned on the gas and attempted to kill them both. she died, but he survived (died shortly after in the hospital) and my mother said most nights, you could hear the footsteps of him taking her through the house and locking doors.

This was in my old house, this is just one of the many stories from there. But one morning while I was sitting out in the living room I look up and I saw my sister walk out of the bedroom and wave a “good morning” and turn to go into the bathroom. About 45 minutes later I’m wondering why she isn’t out of the shower yet bc she’ll be late for school. I go to knock on the door but no one is in there, so I go to our shared room and see that my sister is in there, sleeping. It wasn’t my sister I saw

After my dad died, music by John Denver would always remind me of my dad and make me cry, and my mom said it was the same for her. My mom died last month. That night I was alone in the living room, and I heard music coming from my mom’s room. No one had been in there for hours. When I finally went in, I found her iPad had turned on and was playing John Denver.

My condolences dear. I think she was comforting you

I woke up and saw my door opening. I thought it was my sister but for some reason my first thought was “pretend to be asleep” so I watched the door close and I went back to sleep. This happened again about two hours later when I finally woke up. I was the door open and then shut again. I again thought that it was my sister so I got up and went down to see her but I saw that her car still wasnt in the driveway. It now officially registered that i hadnt seen anyone open it, it had opened by itself

Oh it’s just my ghost cousin who came to check on you ^^

5 years ago I start seeing shadows. First one in the basement. Going to school and and when I passing by something move in the shadows. They say it was a theif but it continue. A man with cap start following me and watching me after it. When I ask people they say they dont see someone. Still he is always staring me corner of my eyes. And when I try to run I hear someone laughing out loud. But no ones believes me.

One night i had my door opened. It was opened just very slightly. My bed at that time was placed that way that when you were lying in it you could see roght at the door. Well one night i woke up and that’s when i saw a figure standing in the little crease between tge door and the wall. But not only that the only thing i could see on it’s face was this Joker like grin. I was just totally paralyzed😢

This is technically not mine but- my grandma lives in a village and in a very old house. One day my grandpa went out to the pub for a drink and in the middle of the night she heard a knock on the door. She opened it and no one was there. She thought it was her husband playing a prank on her and she told ‘him’ he’s sleeping outside. She went back to bed and then she heard footsteps(her floor is very noisy).
